Poshard

James A. “Jim” Poshard Sr., 85, of Zelienople, passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2026.

Born July 2, 1940, in Mount Pleasant, he was the son of the late Charles Harvey and Nell Rose (Welling) Poshard.

Jim was a member of multiple organizations throughout his life. He spent his time with the Moose Club, Pittsburgh’s Syria Shriners and VFW Post 879. Jim was the former president of the Harmony Fire District. Jim was also involved in the Harmony Masons and Butler Red Cross. He loved his dogs and his family, he will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his children, Vandy, Lenore, Chris and Cathy; his grandchildren, Gabriel, T.C., Steffon, Victor, Olivia and Hunter; his seven great-grandchildren; and his brother, Chick.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his son, James “Buddy” Jr.; his brothers, Fred and Joel; and his sister, Margie.

POSHARD — A celebration of life for James A. “Jim” Poshard Sr., who died Wednesday, April 8, 2026, will be held by the family at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Jim’s honor to the Harmony Fire District, 424 S. Main St., Zelienople, PA 16063.

Arrangements were entrusted to BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.
