Kathryn (Boyd) Gold, 83, of Butler, passed away Saturday, Oct. 17, 2026, at Quality Life Services — Chicora.

She was born June 24, 1943, in Belle Vernon, to the late Kenneth C. Boyd and Mary I. (Gamble) Boyd.

She graduated from New Kensington High School. Kay enjoyed ceramics, fishing, bowling, gambling and traveling.

She is survived by son, Ronald (Diane Stephens) Gold; daughters, Mary (Robert) Dennis, Lisa (Joseph) Ulrich, Barbara (Ron Green) LeGrand and Becky (Randy Jr.) Cumberland; grandchildren, Angela Gold, Timothy Dennis, Dalton Stephens, Caleb Stephens, Elizabeth Ulrich, Thomas Ulrich, Richard LeGrand, Garrett LeGrand, Amanda Cumberland and Alex Cumberland; great-grandchildren, Bennett and Carter; and brother, Ronald K. (Maryanne) Boyd.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald “Red” Gold, whom she married June 10, 1967, and who passed away Dec. 4, 2015; and siblings, Kenneth Boyd, Shirley Flynn and Marion Gutsgell.

GOLD — A memorial service for Kathryn (Boyd) Gold, who died Saturday, Oct. 17, 2026, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, at Jefferson Center Presbyterian Church, 390 Fraizer Road, Saxonburg.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations maybe made to American Cancer Society at cancer.org.
