Knoll

John L. Knoll, 78, of Grove City, passed away Saturday, Oct. 17, 2026, in Allegheny General Hospital, following complications after suffering a stroke.

John was born in New Castle on June 28, 1948, to John W. and Olive H. (Edminston) Knoll.

He married Rena M. Solomich on June 14, 1969.

John was a graduate of Union High School, where he set school records in track events. Following high school, John served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam.

He retired in 2012 from Yourga’s Trucking, in Wheatland, Pa., where he worked for over 30 years.

John is survived by his wife of 57 years, Rena; a son, Jackson (Jaime) Knoll; a daughter, Crystal (Brian) Robson; three grandchildren, Kassidy, Raymond and Theodore; a great-grandson, Kvontae; a sister, Linda (Dallas) Travers; beloved siblings-in-law, and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

John was preceded in death by his parents; mother in-law, Lillian Solomich; a sister-in-law, Stella Fedash; and a nephew, Jimmy Ondrako.

KNOLL — Visitation hours for John L. Knoll, who died Saturday, Oct. 17, 2026, will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23, at CUNNINGHAM FUNERAL HOME, 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City.

Funeral services will at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Crestview Memorial Park.
