Butler Farm Show: What you need to know to go
The Butler Farm Show office is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday.
All gates open at 8:30 a.m.
DAILY ADMISSION – $10.
Includes rides & grandstand (except Thursday and Friday – Buy a wristband for $5 at grandstand. Sales open at 5:30 p.m. with limited quantity.)
Those under 3 enter free, unless they want to ride the rides.
No admission refunds. Rain or shine.
PARKING FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES – available at Gate 1 (main entrance) and Gate 2 (airport entrance) on a first-come, first-served basis.
RULES —
– No smoking in any barn or building
– No alcoholic beverages, drugs, firearms, dogs or pets.
— Vehicles, including golf carts, are not allowed on the midways of the Butler Farm Show between the hours of 11 a.m. and 11 p.m. Bicycles, motor bikes/mini bikes of any kind (electric or gasoline), scooters or skateboards, ATV/UTVs are not allowed on the grounds.
INFORMATION – General information is available from the office. All other inquiries should be directed to the secretary at the Farm Show Office near the main gate entrance.
SCHEDULE – The Butler Farm Show Board reserves the right to add, alter, re-schedule or cancel any event deemed necessary. Events may not start at the exact listed times.
RESTROOMS – Permanent toilet facilities are adjacent to the show arena and in the Ag Building. Every effort is made to keep these in first-class condition.
CAMPING – Camping spots are available for animal exhibitors only. All campers and tents must have been registered and paid by July 14. Camper parking will start at 5 p.m., Thursday, July 31. Rules, fees, and registration form available online.
LOST AND FOUND DEPARTMENT– In the show office at the Main Gate entrance.
SEVERE WEATHER – In case of severe weather, warnings will be issued on the loudspeakers. Please return to your cars or take refuge in a building instead of a tent.
WASTE PAPER – Large containers for waste paper will be placed at many locations on the grounds. Please use them to improve the appearance of the show and save the cost of cleanup.
FIRE – Loss by fire is a constant threat at agricultural shows. Straw, paper, and other combustible materials make a small fire a big one in short order. Carefully dispose of all matches and smokes. Fire equipment is available. Call for it to extinguish any blaze, however slight.
AUCTIONS–
— 4-H and ADULT BAKED GOODS AUCTION – 7 p.m. Monday in the Dairy Pavilion.
— CHEESE AUCTION – 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 6 in the Dairy Pavilion.
— ANNUAL JUNIOR LIVESTOCK SALE – 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 7 (Opening ceremonies start at 5:30) in the Livestock Barn.
