Police Reports

The following items have been collected from various police departments and district courts:

Butler Twp

Nov. 18 — Michael Formica, 53, of Butler and Julie Bryson, 56, of Wellsville, Ohio, were involved in a vehicle crash. Police said Formica’s vehicle struck Bryson’s on Pittsburgh Road.

Nov. 17 — Benjamin Altshuler, 30, of Pittsburgh, and Paige Schreffler, 27, of Butler, were involved in a vehicle crash. Police said Altshuler’s vehicle struck Schreffler’s.

Cranberry Twp

Nov. 17 — Richard C. Watts, 53, of Pittsburgh, was charged with a misdemeanor DUI. Police said they stopped him Oct. 28 on Freeport Road. Police said field sobriety tests showed he was impaired, and that a later blood test showed Watts’ blood alcohol content at 0.261%. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is 0.08%.

Nov. 17 — Karla D. Kirschbaum, 50, and Mya K. Bell, 21, both of Cranberry, were charged with misdemeanor theft. Police said they left Walmart with $243 worth of merchandise without paying for it.

Nov. 17 — Jessica M. Langham, 40, and John A. Schwartz, 52, both of Meadville, were charged with misdemeanors theft and conspiracy. Police said they left Walmart with more than $400 worth of merchandise without paying for it.

Nov. 17 — John C. Purucker, 69, of Youngstown, Ohio, was charged with felony theft. Police said he left Home Depot with $1,106 worth of merchandise without paying for it.

Nov. 15 — Stephen M. Waters, 37, of Pittsburgh, was charged with two misdemeanor thefts. Police said he left Home Depot with $300 worth of merchandise without paying for it.

Middlesex Twp

Nov. 17 — Joseph Johnston, 68, of Renfrew, was charged with five misdemeanor counts of reckless endangerment and two misdemeanor DUIs. Police said he crashed his vehicle Nov. 11 at Routes 8 and 228. Police said he showed signs of impairment, and that a later blood test showed Johnston’s blood-alcohol content at 0.215%. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is 0.08%.

Penn Twp

Nov. 17 — Mary P. Kutchko, of Tarentum, was charged with two misdemeanor DUIs. Police said she hit a vehicle on Pittsburgh Road. Police said a later blood test showed Kutchko’s blood-alcohol content at 0.222%. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is 0.08%.

Slippery Rock Borough

Nov. 17 — Ashley R. Swihart, 22, of Slippery Rock, was charged with misdemeanor simple assault and summary disorderly conduct. Police said she hit someone repeatedly.

State police, Butler

Nov. 20 — Jonathon P. Aretz, 52, of Tarentum, was charged with two misdemeanor DUIs. Police said they stopped him on Pittsburgh Road, Penn Township. Police said a later blood test showed Aretz had a blood-alcohol content of 0.129%. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is 0.08%.

Nov. 17 — Daniel A. Stevenson, 53, of Evans City, was charged with six misdemeanor DUIs. Police said he crashed his vehicle Oct. 5 on Harmony Street, Connoquenessing borough. Police said field sobriety tests showed he was impaired and a later blood test showed Stevenson’s blood-alcohol content at 0.146% with traces of marijuana. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is 0.08%.

Nov. 17 — Brandon M. Geist, 37, of East Butler, was charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct. Police said he smacked someone.

Nov. 16 — Brent E. Wilson, 42, of Butler, and Jackquline C. McCann, 69, of Knox, were involved in a vehicle crash. Police said Wilson’s vehicle struck McCann’s on Bonniebrook Road in Jefferson Township.

Oct. 26 — Bailey M. Palmer, 25, of Harrisville, was charged with theft following an incident Nov. 26, 2020.
