Two women arrested in drug bust
The Butler County Drug Task Force arrested two women after a Wednesday night search of their home in the city.
Nancy Hinchberger, 55, and Constance L. Zaborowski, 60, were arrested following the task force’s search at 7 p.m. of a home on the 200 block of Cleveland Street.
In a statement Thursday, task force Chief Tim Fennel said the search was the result of an investigation into drug sales at the location.
Both were arraigned Thursday before District Judge Joseph Nash on charges including two felony counts of drug sales and misdemeanor drug paraphernalia possession.
Hinchberger was issued a $50,000 bond, and Zabarowksi was released on a $10,000 unsecured bond.
According to charging documents, police entered the home and found Zaborowski in the kitchen and Hinchberger in the living room. Both were detained.
Police said officers found crack cocaine and $270 in Hinchberger’s bra. The amount of drugs was not specified in court documents. Some of the money found was marked.
“Police also found drugs and paraphernalia throughout the house. Police said they found packaging materials in the kitchen and digital scales in the living room.
Police said the house has two bedrooms, and they found drug paraphernalia and a pink purse in one of them. “(Officers found) unknown white powder in a clear bag in a metal container in a pink purse next to the bed,” police said.
Police said in the rafters of the second bedroom, they found a .38-caliber revolver and a small bag of powder cocaine.
“(An) owe sheet (was found) in the bedroom nightstand,” said police, referencing a paperwork commonly kept by dealers to log their transactions and debts owed.
Police said the only ID found in the home belonged to Zaborowski, and Hinchberger was charged because the drugs were found in her clothing.
Hinchberger has a history of drug convictions across multiple counties, dating to 2004, but most have involved possessing drugs, not sales.
Most recently, Hinchberger pleaded guilty in 2020 to felony possession of drug-related contraband, and in April 2020 was sentenced to serve between 24 and 48 months in jail followed by 12 months of probation.
A search of court records did not show any previous drug-related offenses for Zaborowski.
A preliminary hearing for the women has yet to be scheduled.
