CRANBERRY TWP — Police are reminding residents to keep their vehicles locked after at least a dozen cars in a township neighborhood were entered overnight Wednesday.

According to Cranberry Township police Sgt. Chuck Mascellino, about 12 vehicles in the Oak Springs plan in the northern part of the township were entered. He said the vehicles all were unlocked.

The suspects took cash and credit cards from the vehicles. Although keys were left in some of them, no vehicle was stolen, Mascellino said.

Police are investigating, and as of Wednesday afternoon had no suspects. Anyone with information or who may also have had items taken should contact police at 724-776-5180.

In the meantime, Mascellino said it is important not only to ensure vehicles are locked but also that no valuables are inside.
