The Butler Parks, Recreation, Grounds and Facilities Authority agreed Monday to buy two new security cameras for Michelle Krill Field at Historic Pullman Park.

Dean Selfridge, stadium manager, said he followed up on the board's request to get prices for additional cameras to supplement security around the stadium.

Two cameras will cost about $1,600 including installation, he said.

The board authorized spending up to $1,700 on the cameras.

The cameras will be directed toward the front exterior of the stadium, he said.

When they are installed, the stadium will have 11 cameras, authority officials said.

In unrelated business, Selfridge said a wooden plank in the swinging bridge across Sullivan Run behind the stadium is missing, but he doesn't know if the authority or city owns the bridge and which entity should replace the plank.

The authority and city will look into the ownership of the bridge.

In other business, the authority finalized several events at the stadium including a concert featuring Lita Ford and Jack Russell's Great White on Aug. 17, a cornhole tournament on Aug. 24 and the Brew Festival on Aug. 31.
