Ace Hardware of Butler in the Greater Butler Mart in Butler Township achieved a “Pinnacle Performance Retailing” designation for its outstanding performance from Ace Hardware Corp.

Developed as part of Ace's long-term retail growth strategy, Pinnacle Performance Retailing focuses on Ace's customers, helping to ensure that Ace stores deliver on its brand promise. The team at Ace Hardware of Butler is among 493 out of 5,200 stores in 65 countries to achieve Pinnacle status in 2018 by successfully completed a number of key performance drivers that will help them provide a better overall shopping experience in their local community.

An example of a proven performance driver is “Helpful Certification,” the foundation of Ace's “Certified Ace Helpful” retail training curriculum. To become certified, Ace Hardware associates complete courses such as Helpful 101 and 201 and the store conducts a weeklong team-based certification event.

“Achieving Pinnacle Performance Retailing is a tremendous accomplishment for an Ace store,” said John Tovar, Ace vice president of retail operations and new business.

Ace Hardware of Butler is locally owned by two Butler couples, Cameron and Amy Bodamer and Mike and Mary Waggoner. Cameron is the operating partner. Cameron and Amy recently traveled to Las Vegas for the Pinnacle conference and had the pleasure of having lunch with Ace CEO John Venhuizen.
