12:12 p.m. Saturday — Kevin Peiffer, 43, of Sarver lost control of his vehicle and struck a guardrail on Delwood Road. No one was injured. The vehicle was towed.
Police noted the road was briefly closed due to icy conditions.
Friday — Michael H. Friedrich, 31, of Renfrew was charged with endangering the welfare of children stemming from a Jan. 13 traffic stop on Meridian Road.
Police said Friedrich was a passenger in the vehicle that had suspected drug contraband in it. Also riding in the vehicle were three children, ages 6, 11 and 13, who are related to Friedrich. The specific relationship was not clear in police reports.
A search of the vehicle, police said, turned up empty stamp bags with suspected heroin residue.
In addition to child endangerment, Friedrich is charged with reckless endangerment and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police said another passenger, Maurice W. Johnson, 35, of Butler, was found with a pill for which he did not have a prescription, and a suspected marijuana roach. He is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia and possession of a small amount of marijuana.
Police said the driver, Scott B. Lowe, 44, of Colfax, La., is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, making an improper turn and failing to carry his driver’s license.
Friday — Charles P. Gerstner, 58, of Lyndora was found with suspected drugs and other contraband in connection with a Nov. 7 traffic stop on Hansen Avenue.
He is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, possession of a small amount of marijuana, making an improper turn and driving a vehicle without valid inspection.

7 a.m. Jan. 14 — Anthony W. Bland, 49, of Mars was arrested for driving under the influence on Weatherburn Drive. Police said they found him after getting a call for a car parked on the sidewalk in front of a home with a man sleeping inside.
Bland was awake when an officer got there, according to court documents. He told police he got stuck in the snow. Police said he subsequently failed field sobriety tests.
Police took him to UPMC Passavant in Cranberry Township for a blood test, which showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.229 percent. A level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated under state law.
He is charged with DUI.

Jan. 15 — Matthew S. Reed, 21, of Mars was charged with submitting a state license to carry firearms application Dec. 26 that included answers about his criminal record that were not truthful and were rejected by the Pennsylvania Instant Check System that is run by the state police.
Reed is charged with unsworn falsification to authorities.

4:46 p.m. Saturday — A car driven by Dominic A. Parenti, 31, of Harrisville struck a tree in Brady Township. Neither Parenti nor his passenger was injured. Neither was wearing a seat belt.
Police said Parenti was traveling north on Route 8 at Muddy Creek Drive when he lost control of his car. He overcorrected as the vehicle crossed into the opposing lane. The car hit a guardrail on the right-hand side of the road and traveled on a hillside before hitting the tree.
Parenti was cited for driving too fast for conditions, driving a vehicle without insurance and a seat belt violation.
1:10 p.m. Saturday — A 17-year-old Parker boy lost control of his pickup truck and struck an embankment on Route 268 just north of North River Avenue in Hovey Township, Armstrong County. The truck ended up on its driver’s side.
Police said they cited the boy, who they did not identify, for disregarding traffic lanes.
2:21 a.m. Saturday — One person was hurt when a car driven by Jordan M. Hyatt, 23, of Slippery Rock rear-ended a sport utility vehicle on Route 8 just west of Mercer Road in Center Township. Thomas J. Bauer, 37, of East Butler was the other driver.
Bauer’s passenger, Lauren S. Bauer, 32, of East Butler, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with an apparent minor injury. All three occupants were wearing seat belts. Both vehicles had to be towed.
5:49 a.m. Friday — An SUV driven by Kelly M. Sarver, 34, of Prospect crashed on Route 488 just west of Yellow Creek Road in Muddy Creek Township. Police said Sarver and two passengers, ages 1 and 7, were not injured. No other information was available.
7:01 a.m. Jan. 10 — A loose wheel was blamed for a two-vehicle accident in Penn Township. No injuries were reported
The wreck happened when the left rear wheel came off the SUV that Nicole A. Wilson, 31, of Prospect was driving north on Route 8 just south of Renfrew Road. The vehicle traveled across the southbound lane and hit a guardrail, according to a police report.
The dislodged wheel struck the left front bumper area of another vehicle, a state police car driven by Trooper Max T. DeLuca, 39, of Butler.
Police cited Wilson for driving an uninspected vehicle.
