12:27 a.m., Dec. 25 — Eric Defelice, 22, of Butler faces charges for resisting arrest and providing false identification to an officer, according to a news release by Butler Police Chief Bob O’Neill.

Police arrived at 564 W. Cunningham St. to respond to a possible overdose, according to the release. As medics worked, police “encountered” Defelice, who O’Neill reports was wanted under a warrant. Defelice jumped out of a second-story window and was chased by police, who arrested him.

Police reported that two other residents were wanted under warrant and arrested during the incident: Cassie Kelly-Winkler, 36, and Elmer Scherder Jr., 52.

2 p.m., Dec. 24 — Brian Sharpe, 20, was shocked by police after apparently breaking into a home on the 200 block of South Church Street, according to a news release by Butler Police Chief Bob O’Neill.

Police report that Sharpe “was irate and screaming” when they arrived to investigate a reported trespassing. Police found him outside the residence.

“He attacked the officer on site,” the news release stated. Police used a Taser to shock Sharpe, and then arrested him.

He faces charges of aggravated assault on a police officer, resisting arrest, criminal trespassing and criminal mischief.

Police did not name the involved officer who was attacked or detail the nature of the attack, but they suffered only minor injuries and returned to work.

8:54 a.m., Oct. 9 — Police charged Donald Reese, 20, of Butler with theft by deception after he allegedly tried to return a king-size comforter, valued at $57.24, to Walmart, 400 Butler Commons, that he had taken off the shelf shortly beforehand, according to the police report.

12:48 p.m., Dec. 14 — Police charged Jennifer Smith, 30, of Fenelton with retail theft and conspiracy to commit retail theft. Smith allegedly failed to pay on two separate occasions for merchandise valued at $2,044, according to the police report.

5:06 p.m., Dec. 18 — Kira Holt, 40, of Butler, Charlotte Burchanowski, 52, of Saxonburg and Michael Kuhta, 36, of Butler were involved in a three-vehicle accident on Route 356 near Butler Commons shopping plaza. Holt rear-ended Burchanowski’s vehicle, forcing Burchanowski’s vehicle into Kuhta’s vehicle. Holt’s vehicle had to be towed from the scene. There were no injuries reported. Holt was charged with speeding and Kuhta was cited for driving under a suspended license and driving without a license.

11:24 p.m. Thursday — No one was injured in a one-vehicle crash on Route 422. Driver, Mark Wilkinson, 38, of Butler, lost control of his vehicle due to the wet road before hitting a cement median, according to the police report.

8:29 p.m. Friday — Police charged Tammy Lee Larimore, 30, of Karns City with retail theft after Larimore allegedly failed to ring up $71.07 in merchandise at the self check out at the Butler Commons Walmart, according to the police report.

7:30 p.m. Saturday — Police cited Sherry Boulanger, 48, of Butler for harassment. Boulanger allegedly argued verbally with a 53-year-old Butler man on the 100 block of Elizabeth Drive, before getting physical with him, according to the police report. The victim sustained minor injuries.

2:14 a.m. Saturday — Police cited Tyler Terwilliger, 24, of Butler for disorderly conduct for allegedly causing a disturbance at the Forest Heights Apartments, according to the police report.

3:06 a.m. Saturday — Police charged Michael Mitchell with public drunkenness after police found him at two separate disturbance calls, according to the police report. Police said they found Mitchell the second time on a call at Green Acres Apartments.

1:52 a.m. Monday — Police charged Ian Kingsley, 40, of Butler with simple assault and harassment. Police were dispatched to the 200 block of Havenhill Drive for a disturbance, where it was reported to officers that Kingsley struck two people during an altercation, according to the police report.

5:06, Dec. 4 — Tina Dunkle, 38, of Parker and Bobby Dunkle, 51, of Parker, were arrested on drug-related charges after troopers found marijuana and 24 bags of suspected fentanyl in their vehicle. Tina Dunkle was additionally charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of the two children, a 3-year-old boy and a 5-year-old boy, in the vehicle.
