Sunday — Police arrested one man and got an arrest warrant for another man accused of breaking into a car and attempting to break into another car about 1:55 a.m. Saturday on Whitehill Street near East Cunningham Street.
Michael W. Roman, 42, no known address, and Robert C. Best, 32, no known address, are charged with two counts each of theft from a vehicle and conspiracy to commit theft from a vehicle.
Roman was arraigned on charges and later placed in the Butler County Prison on $15,000 bail. Best is wanted on a warrant in the case.
An owner of one of the vehicles told police that her vehicle was entered and $52 in currency was taken from the center console, according to court documents.
She said her vehicle is equipped with a surveillance camera. The video showed two people attempting to get into a different vehicle before they got into hers.
Police said they identified the defendants after reviewing the footage.
Officers arrested Roman about 12:30 p.m. Sunday after seeing him walking on Virginia Avenue. He was arrested without incident but he refused to talk to police about the incident.
[naviga:h3]Buffalo Twp Police[/naviga:h3]
1:30 a.m. Dec. 3 — Sean A. Mientus, 30, of Buffalo Township was arrested for drunken driving after he got his car stuck in the mud at his home on Sarver Road.
Police said they were called for a possible accident and found the defendant in his car, which was “smashed up” against a retaining wall in the front yard.
Mientus failed field sobriety tests and was taken to Allegheny Valley Hospital in Natrona Heights, Allegheny County for a blood test. Toxicology results were not indicated in documents.
Mientus was arraigned on a charge of driving under the influence, and released on his own recognizance.

12:40 p.m. Sunday — Police found a jacket with miscellaneous items in it on Meridian Road at Whitestown Road. The owner can claim the property by calling police at 724-285-9600, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
[naviga:h3]Grove City Police[/naviga:h3]
10:11 p.m. Dec. 6 — Matthew Bordick, 21, of Grove City was arrested for driving under the influence after a two-vehicle crash at Princeton Street and Opre Avenue. Devin Roddy, 20, of Grove City was the other driver.
In addition to DUI, Bordick is charged with making an improper left turn.
Dec. 6 — Katharine Marie DiMaria, 34, of Grove City was charged in connection with the reported assault Nov. 19 of a 16-year-old girl on the 500 block of State Street.
DiMaria is charged with simple assault and harassment.
[naviga:h3]Penn Twp Police[/naviga:h3]
Nov. 26 — Nicholas J. Ehrhart, 33, of Gibsonia was charged with taking a vehicle and money belonging to a woman who befriended him. He allegedly took the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee on Nov. 23 from the owner’s home on Morgan Road without her permission.
The victim told police that Ehrhart had moved into her home a few months ago. She said he was homeless at the time, according to court documents.
Police suspect Ehrhart took the vehicle and $60 in currency. He eventually returned with the vehicle.
He later admitted he took the Jeep without permission, police said, but he denied taking the money or any other property. He is charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle and theft.
[naviga:h3]State Police, Butler
Tuesday — An Erie County teenager was charged with drugged driving in connection with a traffic stop last month for speeding on Route 422 in Franklin Township.
Police said Jakob T. Law, 19, of Union City about 2:30 p.m. Nov. 23 was clocked going 83 mph in a 55 mph zone. Troopers stopped him on Route 422 east at the Route 528 exit.
Law admitted that he had smoked marijuana earlier in the day, according to court documents. He subsequently showed impairment during field sobriety testing.
He was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test. Police said toxicology results confirmed he had marijuana in his system.
A search of Law’s car turned up a plastic bag containing about 16 grams of suspected marijuana, documents. Also found were what appeared to be seven partially smoked marijuana cigarettes, a marijuana grinder, two drug-smoking pipes and rolling papers.
Law is charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, speeding, driving at an unsafe speed, failing to keep right, careless driving and not wearing a seat belt.
Friday — Police obtained an arrest warrant for Nicholas A. Foster, 34, of Prospect after he allegedly assaulted a woman at a home on Douglas Street in Prospect.
The victim told police that Foster struck her in the head while fighting with her on the couch, according to court documents. The woman had a small cut and swelling on her head.
Foster is charged with simple assault and harassment.
Nov. 28 — Police charged a man and woman, both of Westmoreland County, with the July theft of $1,500 in property from a Clinton Township business.
The defendants — John D. McGranahan, 51, of Vandergrift and Laura Thrower, 46, of New Kensington — are both charged with first-degree misdemeanor counts of theft and receiving stolen property.
Police said the suspects about 11:30 a.m. July 11 drove to John W. Thrower Inc. on Saxonburg Boulevard in Clinton Township and stole vehicle parts including two brake drums, a set of leaf springs and an angle iron, as well as a steel beam.
The crime was apparently captured on surveillance video, according to court documents.
[naviga:h3]State Police, Mercer[/naviga:h3]
3:33 p.m. Dec. 6 — Raymond S. Pell, 45, of Franklin lost control of his sport utility vehicle and slid into a ditch on Jackson Center Polk Road just west of Bradley Road in Worth Township, Mercer County.
Police cited Pell for driving too fast for conditions and disregarding traffic lanes.
