11:41 p.m. Sunday — Gary D. Decker Jr., 34, no known address, was arrested on charges he assaulted his girlfriend after forcing in a back door of her home on the 400 block of Fairview Avenue.Police were called to the home for a report of a man kicking in the rear door. Officers got there and found the defendant in the home, according to court documents. The door jamb was broken.Decker was immediately arrested.The victim was also at the scene. Police said she was crying and she numerous scratch marks and blood on her. She told officers that Decker broke into the home and shoved her to the ground.The defendant, she recounted, also dragged her by the hair across the floor.He was arraigned on a felony charge of trespass and a misdemeanor charge of simple assault. Decker was placed in the Butler County Prison on $30,000 bail following arraignment.2:02 a.m. Sunday — William E. Burley Jr., 36, of Butler was arrested after police were called for a fight at a home on the 400 block of Charles Street.Police found the house in “disarray,” according to court documents, with shattered glass “everywhere” and plant soil on the floor. Burley and at least one other person were inside and they appeared to be intoxicated.Officers subsequently left but were called back after another fight broke out, police said. Burley was irate and still appeared to be impaired, documents said. Police stopped him from getting into a vehicle and driving away. He was arrested for public intoxication. But when officers attempted to take him into custody, he struggled with them. One of the officers deployed a Taser to get control of the defendant, documents said.Burley was arraigned on charges of resisting arrest and public drunkenness, and later placed in the Butler County Prison on $5,000 bail.

2:53 p.m. Saturday — Jamie Jo Boyer, 45, of Butler was caught allegedly shoplifting $826.59 in merchandise at the Butler Commons' Walmart. She is charged with a misdemeanor count of retail theft.11:24 p.m. Friday — Elizabeth A. Wright, 45, of Butler was charged with illegal possession of prescription pills after she was arrested on a warrant on East Rockenstein Avenue. Police said they found Wright while investigating a reported domestic incident.She is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

1:27 p.m. Saturday — Tyler E. Wilcox, 20, of Butler was hurt in a one-vehicle accident in Connoquenessing Township. Volunteer firefighters had to extricate him from his wrecked car.Police said Wilcox lost control of his car while traveling west on Whitestown Road just north of Eagle Mill Road. The car rolled onto its side.Butler Township firefighters rescued Wilcox, who was treated by a Harmony EMS crew at the scene for an apparent minor injury. Police cited him for driving at an unsafe speed.12:42 a.m. Saturday — Ronald Grimes, 28, of Emlenton was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on the 100 block of Lilac Lane in Brady Township. Charges are pending.

Friday — Arthur Ditty Jr., 39, of Parker was arrested on a charge of felony shoplifting in connection with the Nov. 23 theft of a rifle scope cover, valued at $29.99, at Route 66 Sporting Goods in Paint Township.Ditty, who has at least three prior shoplifting convictions, was arraigned on a felony count of retail theft and placed in the Clarion County Jail on $25,000 bail, according to court records.While normally a summary or misdemeanor offense under state law, retail theft is upgraded to a third-degree felony regardless of the stolen property's value when a suspect has at least two prior convictions for the same crime.3:18 p.m. Nov. 15 — Sean L. Wright, 31, of Rimersburg was one of two people hurt in a two-vehicle wreck in Limestone Township.Police said the crash happened when a cargo van driven by Tanner M. Custer, 24, of Fairmount City crossed the center line on Route 66 and collided head-on with the pickup truck that Wright driving in the opposite direction. The collision pushed the truck into an embankment off the road.Wright was taken to Clarion Hospital with unknown injuries. Custer was treated at the scene for an apparent minor injury. Both men were wearing seat belts.Police cited Custer for driving with a suspended license, driving at an unsafe speed and disregarding traffic lanes.3:06 a.m. Nov. 10 — Nathaniel S. Best, 24, of Parker lost control of his sport utility vehicle and struck a utility pole along Route 368 just west of Doc Walker Road in Perry Township, Clarion County. Police cited him for disregarding traffic lanes.

Monday — Police reported they are investigating a case of suspected sexual assault in September at a home in East Franklin Township. A 15-year-old Worthington girl told police the assault occurred Sept. 22.Police did not identify the suspect, a 17-year-old Cowansville boy. The investigation continues, according to a police report.10:39 a.m. Saturday — An elderly woman was injured when a sport utility vehicle bumped into her at the Hilltop Plaza parking lot in East Franklin Township. Virginia I. Dodd, 90, of Kittanning was taken to nearby ACMH Hospital with unknown injuries.The driver, Beverly Hockenberry, 76, of Adrian, told investigators that she failed to see Dodd after backing out of a parking stall and making a U-turn in front of the Dollar Tree store, according to a police report.No charges were filed in the accident.7:56 a.m. Friday — A car driven by Eric E. Figgins, 35, of Cabot rear-ended another car on Route 28 south in Fox Chapel, Allegheny County. Natalie M. Hetu, 24, of New Kensington, Westmoreland County was the other driver.Police said the crash pushed Hetu's car onto an embankment. No one was injured but both vehicles had to be towed.Figgins was cited for following too closely to another vehicle and driving at an unsafe speed.
