6:49 p.m. Friday — David C. Fudoli, 49, of Butler Township was caught with suspected heroin, marijuana and other drug contraband in the back of 142 S. Main St, Butler.
Police said they were called there for a man possibly passed out, according to court documents. It was later determined that the defendant had fallen asleep in a chair.
While there, police said, officers found seven stamp bags and nine empty bags of suspected heroin, a small amount of marijuana and two hypodermic needles.
Fudoli is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, and possession of a small amount of marijuana.
11:35 p.m. Thursday — Nicholas M. Hoyle, 38, was arrested after he allegedly strangled a woman during a domestic dispute at his apartment on the 100 block of West New Castle Street.
The victim told police that Hoyle grabbed her and eventually shoved her onto the ground, according to court documents. He also is accused of using his hands to choke her around the throat.
Police said the woman had bruising around the neck, a scrape on her right elbow and a superficial cut on her right forearm.
Hoyle was arraigned on a felony charge of strangulation and a misdemeanor charge of simple assault. He was released on his own recognizance following arraignment.
10:23 p.m. Tuesday — Daryl L. Claypoole II, 30, was arrested on charges he strangled his girlfriend during a domestic dispute at their home on Heim Avenue.
Police said the alleged victim told them that she and Claypoole were arguing when he threw a water bottle that hit her in the forehead. He also threw a glass globe, according to court documents, that struck her in the stomach.
The defendant is accused of choking the woman around the neck, which “obstructed her windpipe for about 30 seconds,” a police affidavit said, and made her dizzy.
Police noted that the victim had injuries that are consistent with her account of what happened.
Claypoole was arraigned on a felony charge of strangulation and a misdemeanor charge of simple assault. He was placed in the Butler County Prison on $15,000 bail following arraignment.
Tuesday — Police obtained an arrest warrant for Philip A. Campbell, 38, of Butler in connection with the Oct. 6 theft of a neighbor’s wallet and cell phone at an apartment on the 200 block of North Washington Street.
The victim told police that she and Campbell were at a friend’s home, according to court documents, when he took her property. Police said they later came upon the defendant while investigating another incident and he admitted taking the wallet and phone.
Campbell led police to a home on East Walnut Street where he had stashed the items, documents said. The property was eventually returned to the victim. She told police that $312 was missing from the wallet.
Police charged Campbell with a first-degree misdemeanor count of theft.
Tuesday — Tasha M. Robinson, 26, of Petrolia was charged with having nine empty stamp bags of suspected heroin earlier in the month at a convenience store on West Jefferson Street.
Police said they knew Robinson was wanted on a bench warrant about 1:55 p.m. Oct. 4 when they found her at the A-Plus. She was placed in a patrol car following a pat-down search.
While en route to the Butler County Prison, according to court documents, she told police that she had empty bags of heroin in her sock. A subsequent search at the prison found the empty bags.
She is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Tuesday — Mark E. Hauserman, 23, and Samantha B. Miller, 24, both of Butler were charged in connection with an Oct. 6 fraudulent return incident at the Butler Commons’ Walmart.
Both defendants are charged with retail theft, and conspiracy to commit the crimes of retail theft and theft by deception.
11:57 p.m. Oct. 7 — Daniel P. Morehead, 23, of Slippery Rock was found with suspected marijuana following a traffic stop on Armco Drive.
Police charged Morehead with possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, driving a vehicle without valid inspection and a stop sign violation.

6:14 p.m. Friday — Police found several items including four blue table cloths, a Urpower fragrance diffuse and Bigelow tea cups on the side of Lardintown Road in Clinton Township.
The owner can claim the property by calling police at 724-284-8100.
