Tuesday — David C Masdea, 46, of Butler was charged with having heroin and other drug contraband stemming from his arrest last month on a bench warrant. Police said they found him about 9:20 p.m. Sept. 14 sitting at a picnic table at the Farmer’s Market near Race Street.

Officers searched him, according to court documents, and turned up four stamp and two empty bags of suspected heroin, a crack pipe and a syringe.

Masdea is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

9:59 a.m. Oct. 4 — Joselyn Forty, 33, of Butler was caught with suspected heroin and other drug items during a welfare check call at a home on the 300 block of North Main Street.

Police said Forty was subsequently arrested on an unrelated warrant and searched. She was found with seven stamp bags of suspected heroin, according to court documents.

In a bag she had, police said, was a drug-smoking device and a metal spoon.

Forty is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

6:18 p.m. Oct. 2 — No one was injured in a three-vehicle crash at Center and Morton avenues. The wreck happened when a vehicle driven by a teenage boy, who police did not identify, turned at the intersection and collided with a vehicle driven by Davlin Smith, 51, of Cabot.

The teen’s car slid into a vehicle driven by Terre Gray, 57, of Butler. The vehicles driven by the teen and Smith had to be towed.

Police said the boy was cited for making an improper left turn and failing to yield to oncoming traffic

[naviga:h3]State Police, Kittanning[/naviga:h3]

1:41 p.m. Saturday — No one was injured in a three-vehicle wreck in South Buffalo Township.

The accident happened, according to a police report, when a car driven by a 17-year-old Worthington girl and a sport utility vehicle driven by Dolores J. Scratchard, 19, of West Leechburg collided at Route 128 and Iseman Road.

The collision forced the SUV into a pickup truck that was stopped on Arner Road. Derick J. Cornetti, 34, of Kittanning was driving the truck.

All three drivers were wearing seat belts. The car and SUV had to be towed. The South Buffalo Township Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.

6:23 p.m. Friday — A 26-year-old Worthington man suffered an apparent overdose at a home on the 400 block of Bear Street in Worthington. The man, who police did not identify, was taken to ACMH Hospital in East Franklin Township.

A police report provided no other information about the incident.

[naviga:h3]State Police, Mercer[/naviga:h3]

Sunday — Police reported they are investigating last month’s theft of nearly $1,700 worth of merchandise from the Aldo and Coach stores at Premium Outlets in Springfield Township. The assorted bags, purses and jewelry were stolen between 3 and 3:31 p.m. Sept. 3.

The unknown suspects are described as a man and woman, both black. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-662-6162.

3:43 p.m. Saturday — Four women, two of them teenagers, allegedly shoplifted $276.67 worth of clothing at three stores at Premium Outlets in Springfield Township.

Accused, according to a police report, are Denayzha S. Robinson, 19, and Deniqwa S. Robinson, 21, both of Erie; and Jacqueline L. Henderson, 24, and Jazmin B. Mickel, 18, both of West Mifflin, Allegheny County.

Police ask anyone with information to call them at 724-662-6162.

State Police, Punxsutawney

Friday — The state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement cited Smitty’s Rivers Edge Corp. on Water Street in East Brady, Clarion County, for allegedly violating the state liquor law between Aug. 9 and Sept. 17.

The owner of the business, according to a police, failed to have a board-approved manager complete Responsible Alcohol Management training.

An administrative law judge will hear the case.
