2:05 a.m. Wednesday — An Allegheny County man was caught trespassing after police received a call for loud music in the parking lot at Old Plank Estates. Police noted the defendant, Ewari Wayne A. Ellis, 35, Coraopolis, had previously been barred from the apartment complex.
He is charged with defiant trespass.
1:01 a.m. July 23 — Damion A. Tatters, 19, of Chicora was allegedly caught with drug contraband after being stopped for speeding on Route 8 south. Police charged the teenager with possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding.

9:06 a.m. Wednesday — A cement mixer driven by Matthew Mentch, 43, of Sarver collided with another vehicle on East Main and South Broad streets. The crash happened when Mentch ran a red light, according to a police report.
No injuries were reported. Debra Reuber, no age given, of Grove City was the other driver. Her vehicle had to be towed.
Police cited Mentch for a red light violation.
[naviga:h3]State Police, Butler[/naviga:h3]
5:38 p.m. Friday — Tracy L. Hartman, 48, of Butler was injured in a two-vehicle wreck on Route 38 in Concord Township. Lee D. Sundberg, 64, of Parker was the other driver.
Hartman, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered an apparent minor injury. Police cited Sundberg for careless driving.
Tuesday — Frank L. Bauer, 20, of Butler was charged with having marijuana and other drug contraband stemming from a traffic stop earlier this month in Butler.
Police said they stopped Bauer’s car about 1 a.m. July 8 on West Wayne Street near Upper Shore Street for having a faulty headlight. Troopers smelled marijuana coming from the car, according to court documents, and the defendant admitted he had the drug in a back pack on the back seat.
Seized during the stop was about 12 grams of suspected marijuana, three drug-smoking pipes and a marijuana grinder.
Bauer is charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, a lighting violation and driving a vehicle without valid inspection.
[naviga:h3]State Police, Clarion[/naviga:h3]
2:51 a.m. July 13 — A tractor-trailer hauling cattle crashed in northern Butler County, injuring an Ohio trucker. Jimmy R. King, 48, of Botkins was taken to Grove City Medical Center with unknown injuries following the wreck on Interstate 80 in Allegheny Township.
Police said King lost control of his eastbound rig after the load, 36 head of cattle, shifted. The truck slid across the travel lanes on its passenger side for about 360 feet before ending on the south berm.
The fate of the cows was not indicated in a police report.
The Emlenton Volunteer Fire Department, Emlenton Ambulance, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, Hirsch’s Meat and Hepler Farms assisted at the scene.
Police cited King for driving at an unsafe speed and accidents involving an overturned vehicle.
9:10 a.m. July 14 — Jensen C. Fair, 19, of Parker lost control of her car and crashed into a curb on East Trinity Drive at Silverling Road in Monroe Township. Police cited the teen for driving at an unsafe speed.

1:25 p.m. Thursday — Two Utah men were hurt in a rear-end, two-truck crash in Wolf Creek Township. Branislav Majstorovic, 59, of Salt Lake City, one of the drivers, and his passenger, Anthony P. Forbush, 33, of Tooele, suffered minor injuries but both refused medical treatment.
The wreck happened on Interstate 80, according to a police report, when a box truck driven by Eric V. Mencer, 47, of Wheeling, W.Va., struck the back of Majstorovic’s tractor-trailer, which had slowed due to a traffic backlog in a construction zone.
The Pine Township Engine Company assisted police with traffic control and cleaning up spoiled oil on the highway.
Police cited Forbush for careless driving.
Thursday — Police reported charges of indecent exposure are pending against a detainee at the George Junior Republic juvenile detention facility in Pine Township.
The suspect, a boy who police did not identify, in June allegedly exposed himself to two other detainees, both boys. A police report provided no other information.
Wednesday — Michael B. Brant, 25, of Sharpsville was charged with drugged driving stemming from a May 27 crash on North Broad Street in Pine Township.
Brant is charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, disregarding traffic lanes, careless driving and reckless driving.
