9:48 a.m. May 22 — A western New York couple was hurt in a one-vehicle crash in Worth Township. The crash happened when Joseph P. Eusanio, 22, of Orchard Park lost control of his sport utility vehicle on Interstate 79 just west of West Park Road.

The SUV slid off the highway, struck a ditch and rolled onto its roof. Eusanio and his passenger, Melissa M. Kennedy, 22, of Hamburg, were both taken with apparent minor injuries to Grove City Medical Center. Both occupants had their seat belts on.

Police cited Eusanio for driving at an unsafe speed.

May 22 — Police charged an Allegheny County man with a pair of misdemeanors and a dozen vehicle code violations stemming from a traffic stop earlier this month in Muddy Creek Township.

The driver, Taran E. Roesch, 21, of Springdale, was stopped about 7:35 p.m. May 5 on Interstate 79 in a Ford Mustang that had no license plate on it. He told a trooper, court documents said, that he had placed the plate on that vehicle on a drag racing car.

Police said he provided pictures of the Pennsylvania plate that he claimed was supposed to be on the Mustang. But the investigation eventually found that the car was last registered in Massachusetts in 2011.

Additionally, police said, the vehicle identification number on the registration card associated with the plate did not match up with the plate to the vehicle.

Roesch is charged with obtaining a certificate of inspection without proof of insurance and providing a certificate of inspection without proof of insurance.

Among his 12 vehicle violations were fraudulent use or removal of a license plate, driving an unregistered vehicle, driving a vehicle without insurance and driving a vehicle without valid inspection.
