1:58 a.m. Sunday — Chelsea J. Bauman, 31, was arrested after she allegedly assaulted her mother during a domestic dispute at her home in the 300 block of West Diamond Street. She is accused of shoving the victim and pulling her hair.
Police said Bauman later pulled away from officers who tried to arrest her. She also wrapped her legs around one of the officers’s legs, “almost knocking him down the stairs,” according to court documents.
Additionally, she reportedly refused to get into the patrol car.
Bauman was arraigned on charges of simple assault and resisting arrest, and subsequently released on $10,000 unsecured bail.
6:07 p.m. Friday — Storm M. Comly, 26, was arrested on charges he strangled his girlfriend during a domestic dispute at his apartment on the 300 block of Franklin Street.
Comly is accused of placing his hands around the victim’s throat, and impeding her breathing, court documents said. He also allegedly punched the woman in the face, causing bruising and swelling to one of her eyes.
He was arraigned on a felony charge of strangulation and a misdemeanor charge of simple assault. He was placed in the Butler County Prison on $10,000 bail following arraignment.

Sunday — Police are attempting to find a power scooter that belongs to an elderly, handicapped veteran who lives in the area. The scooter was apparently picked up between 8:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. along South Duffy Road near Hazlett Avenue, where it broke down.
According to a police report, the person who took it might have mistakenly believed it had been left there as scrap. The scooter is described as red with a basket.

Friday — Carissa D. O’Block, 32, of Butler was charged with taking an Apple iPhone 8 that its owner mistakenly left behind April 8 at the Butler Commons’ Walmart self-checkout aisle. Store surveillance video captured the incident, according to a police report.
O’Block is charged with a first-degree misdemeanor count of theft of lost or mislaid property.
Friday — Police charged two Butler men with shoplifting $259.97 in merchandise while using the self-checkout registers April 8 at the Butler Commons’ Walmart.
The defendants — Brandon H. Graham, 20, and Austin M. Shenette, 20 — allegedly attempted to flee but were caught in the store’s lawn and garden section following a brief foot search.
Graham and Shenette are both charged with retail theft, conspiracy to commit retail theft and disorderly conduct.
Friday — Shawn E. Waltenbaugh, 36, of Butler was charged with being three times the state’s legal limit for alcohol stemming from a March traffic stop on South Duffy Road.
Police said they pulled over Waltenbaugh about 9 p.m. March 29 after his vehicle drove into the oncoming lane. He was eventually taken for a blood test that showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.241 percent. In Pennsylvania, a level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated.
He is charged with driving under the influence and failing to yield the right of way.

April 25 — Arlene P. Donaldson, 32, was charged with child endangerment after a 3-year-old girl, who had been left in Donaldson’s care at her home in the Port-O-Call trailer park, was found about 3 p.m. April 21 unsupervised and walking barefoot on the road.
Donaldson later told police that she was unaware that the child had left the home, according to court documents. She said she was in the bathroom when the girl apparently left the home.

2:50 a.m. Saturday — An Allegheny County man was arrested for drunken driving after he was stopped for speeding and weaving in his lane on Route 8 near Unionville Road in Center Township.
The defendant, Dalton Parker Welsh, no age given, of McKeesport appeared to be impaired and he admitted to drinking alcohol before driving, according to court documents.
He eventually failed field sobriety tests and was taken to the barracks for a breath test. But he refused to submit to the test.
Welsh is charged with driving under the influence, speeding and careless driving.
April 23 — Police charged Grant E. Young, 28, of Center Township with drugged driving in connection with the serving of an unrelated arrest warrant April 13 at a home on Muddy Creek Drive in Clay Township.
Police said that during the warrant service, the defendant drove onto the scene. Troopers said they smelled marijuana coming from his car. He admitted smoking a blunt, court documents said.
Police said they searched him and found a marijuana grinder and $1,081 in currency. He declined to submit to a blood test.
Young is charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
April 17 — Police obtained an arrest warrant for a Florida woman stemming from a 2016 police call during which police said they found more than 7 ounces of cocaine and more than $2,000 in currency in a car in Clay Township.
The defendant, Nikki L. Geibel, 39, of New Port Richey, is charged with felony counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and dealing in proceeds of unlawful activities.
Police said they learned about the alleged drugs that were left in a car Aug. 8, 2016, on Shroyer Mill Road. The suspected cocaine, according to court documents, was found in six baggies weighing a combined 204.8 grams, or about 7.22 ounces.
The baggies were found in a purse that was inside a tin container, documents said. The container also held $2,044 in currency that was wrapped in a rubber band.
During a subsequent interview with police, Geibel denied the drugs were hers. Police noted in their criminal complaint that since speaking to investigators, the defendant moved to Florida.
