A Butler man could be facing more than 10 years in state prison after pleading guilty to drug distribution in Butler County Court on Tuesday.

Bryan K. Doller, 36, pleaded guilty to three counts of felony possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance — heroin and fentanyl — before President Judge Thomas Doerr.

The plea agreements call for sentences of 3½ to seven years on two of the counts, and three to six years on the third, with the discretion to run them consecutively or concurrently up to the judge at the time of sentencing. If run concurrently, Doller will face 3½ to seven years. If all run consecutively, he will face 10 to 20 years in state prison.

The plea agreement also calls for fines. He is scheduled to be sentenced on Feb. 21.

Doller was charged by state police in three cases after incidents on Oct. 4, 6 and 13.

In the Oct, 4 incident Doller was accused of selling three grams of heroin to a confidential informant for $450 on North Main Street in Butler.

Two days later, Doller was accused of arranging to sell 104 stamp bags of heroin at North Jackson and West Brady streets in Butler for $460. Police said it was determined that the heroin weighed more than 4.75 grams and contained fentanyl.

A week later, according to court documents, he agreed to sell another 109 bags, on Oct. 13, 2016, at North Main and West Penn streets in Butler for $415. Police said the heroin was found to weigh 3.2 grams and contained fentanyl.

Doller had been released from state prison in 2017, after being sentenced to 10 to 25 years followed by five years of probation. He had pleaded guilty to more than 60 charges stemming from a 10-month investigation by the state attorney general's Bureau of Narcotics Investigation, along with state and area police, called “Operation Front Men,” which arrested two dozen county residents in November 2005.

Police said the drug ring was responsible for $200,000 worth of monthly cocaine sales in the county, and Doller would drive to New Castle, Pittsburgh and Philadelphia to buy powder cocaine, bringing it back to Butler County, where he either sold it or processed it into crack cocaine for sale.

When officers attempted to arrest him, Doller rammed his vehicle into two police cars on Route 422 in Muddy Creek Township.

After a short chase, Doller abandoned his vehicle in Moraine State Park, tossing a bag of suspected cocaine into underbrush as he attempted to run away.

When he was caught police said 80 grams of suspected cocaine and a .38-caliber handgun were found in his vehicle. A search of his home the next day resulted in the seizure of more drugs and ammunition, according to court documents.

Because of a 2001 conviction for robbing a pizza delivery man in Butler, Doller is prohibited from possessing a firearm.

According to court documents, on Dec. 21, 2005, a month after Doller's first arrest in the drug investigation, police arrested him again.

This time he was charged with buying cocaine from a police informant.
