Woman's car crashes into tree
MUDDYCREEK TWP — A woman was not hurt when she lost control of her Buick sedan around 4:30 p.m. Monday and went off Route 488.
The driver, whose name was not immediately available, was able to get out of her car unassisted, Portersville-Muddycreek Township Fire Chief Tim Saunders said.
The Buick rolled about 30 feet down a hillside and hit a tree off the north side of the road near the intersection with Yellowcreek Road. Fire officials said she was driving westbound and appeared to have hit a patch of snow.
Traffic on the road was limited to one lane while emergency crews awaited a tow truck.
State police investigated the accident.
