Prosecutors have withdrawn the case against Joel L. McKissick Jr., 28, of Oakland Township, who was charged last month with unlawful dissemination of an intimate image.

The alleged victim advised authorities that she did not want the case to be prosecuted, said Richard Bosco, a Butler County assistant district attorney

“She did not want to be subject to any embarrassment,” Bosco said Monday of the woman, who is a former girlfriend of McKissick’s.

According to court documents, police said the woman on June 3 accused McKissick of sending nude photographs of her to another person, without her permission.

McKissick was to have his preliminary hearing Monday before the lone charge, a second-degree misdemeanor, was withdrawn. His attorney, Michael Zunder, did not return a telephone call
