A county hazardous materials team was called to clean up diesel fuel on Route 8 in Center Township Thursday after a three-vehicle crash.

CENTER TWP — A three-vehicle crash closed Route 8 in the township for a couple hours Thursday afternoon.

A northbound tractor-trailer, owned by Gordon Food Service, rear-ended a Kia van that was attempting to make a left turn onto Halland Terrace, said state police at the scene.

The crash caused the van to hit a southbound Subaru. None of the three drivers was injured.

A county hazardous materials team responded to clean up diesel fuel that had leaked onto the road from the tractor-trailer. The Unionville and Mercer Road volunteer fire departments also responded.

Route 8 was closed in both directions between Route 308 and Mercer Road because of the fuel spill, police said.
