GROVE CITY — The 28th annual Very Special Arts Exhibit continues through April 22 in the Pew Fine Arts Center at Grove City College. The event is presented by Midwestern Intermediate Unit IV.
Artwork called “Penguin” by Mars sophomore Ben King was selected to be featured on the event flyer as well as on T-shirts for this year’s show.
Gallery hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays.

[naviga:h2]Big band plays benefit[/naviga:h2]
The Penn Theater Performance Company will host the Pittsburgh Doo-Wop Big Band in concert on May 20 at Butler Intermediate High School.
The concert will feature sounds from the ’50s, ’60s and ’70s.
Doors open at 6 p.m. and the performance will start at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $20. Raffles also are planned.
Proceeds will go toward the purchase and renovations of the Penn Theater on Main Street.

BUTLER TWP — A free Family Summer Concert Series will take place again this year at Alameda Park.
Concerts will begin at 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays from June 13 to Aug. 15 in the Odd Fellow Gazebo.
