BC3 a cherished asset
As a proud graduate of Butler County Community College, president of the Alumni Council and, most of all, friend, I wish to thank Bob Heaton for his very generous donation.
The Heaton Family Learning Commons will be the centerpiece of our ever-improving campus.
The growth that our community college has experienced in 50 years goes far beyond the addition of new buildings and facilities. We are essentially the community college for the citizens of the surrounding counties as well as our own.
Now more than ever, BC3 affords an opportunity for many people to expand their career options.
If you have not been on campus recently, please do yourself a favor and pay a visit.
Its history is one of conflict and struggle but a handful of determined people saw it to completion. The timing was right as many young men returning from the Vietnam War were able to take advantage of new opportunities it had to offer.
The current administration has a vision for the next 50 years and with Bob Heaton’s help it is well on its way. But there is still much to be done. If you or your friends and family have been involved with BC3 we ask that you join the Alumni Council, nominate a Distinguished Alumni and of course consider a donation to the foundation.
Let’s help keep higher education accessible and affordable in Butler County. And thanks again to Bob Heaton.
