A suspected burglar was arrested Sunday on charges he broke into a Butler apartment last week and fondled the tenant as she slept.

Vance E. Reinhart, 46, who has no known address, is being held in the Butler County Prison on $50,000 bail. He is charged with burglary and trespass, both felonies, and indecent assault, a misdemeanor.

The woman told Butler police that she was in bed at her home on Federal Street about 6:30 a.m. Friday when she awoke to find the defendant rubbing her private parts, according to court documents.

Reinhart was dressed only in boxer shorts at the time, police said.

A preliminary hearing was not immediately scheduled.
