FRANKLIN TWP, Beaver County — The Red Barn Players’ second show of the season is “The Odd Couple (Female Version)” by Neil Simon.

It will run for eight performances beginning Friday. The show is directed by Tammy Erkman of Ellwood City.

In Simon’s female version of his classic comedy, the poker party is gone, but Ms. Madison regularly invites the girls over for an evening of Trivial Pursuit, drinks and discussions about life.

And instead of the Pidgeon sisters living upstairs, the audience is introduced to the two Constanzuela brothers.

The comedy remains the same when the ultra-organized neat-freak Florence Unger — whose marriage has fallen apart — moves in with the carefree divorced Olive Madison ... and opposites collide.

The cast includes Thom Hilliard of Butler, Tammy Herb of Evans City, Lauranne Ferrara of New Castle, Mary Jane Tillia and Debbie Kucan, both of Ellwood City, and Toniaray DiGiacoma of Gibsonia.

Performances are 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday as well as July 17 to 19 and 24 to 26 at the Red Barn Theatre. Route 228.

Tickets are $12. For reservations, call 724-773-7150.
