Dealership supporting Cranberry baseball
CRANBERRY TWP — Kenny Ross Chevrolet-Buick North, Inc., of Zelienople is supporting the Cranberry Township Athletic Association this spring through the Chevy Youth Baseball Program.
The sponsorship will include equipment donations valuing $1,300 during the 2014 youth baseball season.
“Chevy Youth Baseball offers different packages to youth leagues and Cranberry picks a different package from year to year, based on what they need,” said Jim Defilippo, president of the local dealership.
Donated equipment to the league may include equipment bags, baseballs, softballs, catcher’s gear, batting helmets, ball buckets, umpiring equipment, coach’s kits, break away bases, bat racks and first aid kits.
This is the eighth year Kenny Ross ChevroletBuick North, Inc., has been a sponsor with the CTAA.
“We were given a number of organizations to choose from and we selected Cranberry Township’s because it is so expansive,” Defilippo said. “They use a number of ballfields and have a lot of kids involved.
“That is a very active association.”
The 2014 Chevy Youth Baseball Program will provide assistance to 334 leagues in the Northeastern region and Chevrolet dealers will contribute nearly $600,000 in monetary and equipment donations.
