The Butler YMCA 8-under swim team won the WPYSL novice championship at Somerset High School over the weekend.

The team bested a field of 19 teams from across western Pennsylvania.

The boys 100-yard freestyle relay team of Drew Griffith, Gavin Quinn, Landon Kelley and Gideon Goettler took first place and set a team record time of 1:11.08.
