1:16 a.m. today — Grant Earl Young, 22, of Center Township was arrested on felony and misdemeanor charges after he allegedly attacked his girlfriend, 21-year-old Courtney Wilson, during a domestic dispute at her home in the 400 block of Mitchell Avenue.Young is accused of pushing Wilson to the ground and kicking her in the face. Police said it appeared the woman suffered serious facial injuries in the assault. A police report noted that her left eye was swollen shut, bruised and bleeding when officers spoke to her about what happened. She was later taken to Butler Memorial Hospital.Police said they spoke to Wilson's mother, who witnessed the alleged attack, and corroborated her daughter's account.Officers arrested Young at his sister's home on Third Street. He was placed in Butler County Prison to await arraignment on charges of aggravated assault and simple assault.12:23 a.m. today — Travis Fair, 21, of Butler was arrested for violating a protection from abuse order after he drove by his former girlfriend's apartment in the 300 block of West Penn Street, allegedly revving the engine and squealing the tires.His ex, 18-year-old Ashley Dobson, told police that the previous night, shortly after midnight, Fair also drove by her home and revved his engine.Officers several minutes after this morning's incident spotted the suspect's sport utility vehicle at Taylor and Franklin streets, and stopped him. He admitted driving past Dobson's home on Tuesday and today but denied he revved the engine or squealed the tires.Fair, who is charged with violating Dobson's PFA order, was placed in Butler County Prison following his arrest.12:29 p.m. Thursday — Kaitlin Seybert, 17, of Butler was hurt when a pickup truck hit her as she tried to run across North Main Street near Penn Street. The truck, driven by Randy T. Zimmerman, 50, of Center Township, knocked the teen to the ground, causing the back of her head to hit the road.Seybert was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with moderate injuries. She told police she believed she had time to run across North Main Street from the west side to east side. Zimmerman said he did not see the girl and was unable to avoid hitting her, according to a police report.No charges were filed in the accident.Thursday — An unknown burglar stole prescription medication and 17 bottles of cologne from a home on Pollard Street. The home was entered between 6:30 and 9:30 a.m. through an unlocked window. The stolen medication included 10 pills of trazodone, an antidepressant drug, and 40 pills of clonazepam, an antiseizure drug.Thursday — An unknown thief overnight jacked a car onto a cinder block and stripped it of a rear tire and rim at a home in the 100 block of North Elm Street.9:31 a.m. June 6 — Edward A. Best, 66, of Parker was hurt when the car he was driving collided with a sport utility vehicle at East Jefferson and Cliff streets. Best, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.

Monday — Police filed criminal charges against a Butler woman stemming from an incident about 7 p.m. June 6 at Butler Senior High School during commencement ceremonies.Police said Linda Barber, 52, was drunk when she showed up at the school and pulled the fire alarm. According to court documents, she admitted that said pulled the alarm to “get the most help” possible for her sport utility vehicle, which earlier had run out of gas on Campus Lane near New Castle Street.Police said she left her SUV in the travel lane entering the school grounds.Greenwood Village volunteer firefighters were sent to the school, searched the building but found no fire or other emergency.While police spoke to Barber, documents said, they noticed her breath smelled of alcohol and her eyes were “glassy and bloodshot.” A portable breath test indicated the presence of alcohol in her system, police said.Barber is charged with false alarms to agencies of public safety and disorderly conduct, both misdemeanors. She also faces summary charges of public drunkenness, abandoning a vehicle on a road and driving with a suspended license.4:48 p.m. Friday — Joseph Lucas Jr., 67, of Butler lost control of his motorcycle and struck the rear of a car on Greenwood Drive. Amanda Dowdy, 19, of Renfrew was driving the car.

Monday — Police cited two 14-year-old boys for disorderly conduct stemming from an altercation at 2:50 p.m. May 31 on a school bus parked at Grove City Middle School.

Monday — An 18-year-old Emlenton woman, who police did not identify, is suspected of stealing an unspecified amount of money from a 20-year-old Clarion County woman on Route 38 in Richland Township. The theft happened between 12:45 and 1:05 a.m. Police said their investigation continues.
