8:10 p.m. Tuesday — Eric D. Shever, 27, and Mary R. Tumminello, 24, were arrested on bench warrants after police found them at their apartment in the 200 block of Cecelia Street. Both suspects were placed in the Butler County Prison.Butler County Court on Friday issued a warrant for Shever after he failed to appear for a court date in connection with his upcoming trial on theft charges.Allegheny County Court on Monday issued a warrant for Tumminello stemming from a probation violation in a theft case.Monday — Four unknown youths vandalized street lights at Memorial Park. Police were called to the park for a report of two boys and two girls throwing rocks at the lights. Officers searched the area but found no one.Later, police determined the covers of two lights were broken. Damage was estimated at $200.11:45 a.m. March 14 — Billy Edmiston, 65, of Butler was hurt when the pickup truck he was driving went off Main Street traveled about 30 yards and hit a utility pole. Edmiston, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with unknown injuries.

9:55 p. m. Monday — Nathaniel D. Teske, 25, of Butler was found with suspected heroin and other contraband at a Valley Street home. The drugs were found as Butler police questioned him about a previous burglary in the city.While Teske and two others at the house were being questioned about the break-in on Slagle Avenue, officers noticed Teske kept his right hand in a front jeans pocket. Police took a closer look and saw a syringe in a pocket of his hooded sweat shirt,Teske was searched and found with eight stamp bags of suspected heroin and seven empty stamp bags. He is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.Police, meanwhile, arrested Teske on unspecified warrants out of Butler and Mercer counties. He is being held in the Butler County Prison.

Friday — Police arrested Parraish L. Brinson, 24, of Braddock, Allegheny County, on charges he sold crack cocaine to a police informant for $50 during a controlled drug buy at North Cedar and East New Castle streets in Butler.Brinson was arraigned on charges of delivery of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance. He was placed in the Butler County Prison on $50,000 bail, following arraignment.

Saturday — One person was arrested for driving under the influence during roving DUI patrols in Butler County. In all, 46 vehicles were stopped and 17 traffic tickets issued.Other arrests included one for aggravated assault on a police officer/resisting arrest, two each for simple assault, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief, three for public drunkenness and one for harassment. One person also was arrested on a bench warrant.

Tuesday — An unknown burglar broke into St. Wendelin's School in Oakland Township. Nothing was reported taken but a bookshelf and door in the school were damaged. The damage was estimated at $210. The break-in happened between 9:30 p.m. Monday and 7 a.m. Tuesday.Anyone with information about the burglary is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.11:30 p.m. Monday — Dwayne R. Emerick Jr., 27, of Clay Township was arrested after a suspected domestic dispute ended with the alleged victim, 32-year-old Kristen L. McIntyre, hospitalized with a collapsed lung.Police were called to Butler Memorial Hospital where McIntyre had gone for treatment of injuries in the suspected assault on Hall Road in Clay Township.The woman told police that Emerick choked her and punched her in the right side, collapsing a lung. Police said McIntyre received a chest tube as part of her medial treatment, according to court documents.Emerick was arraigned on felony and misdemeanor assault charges, and placed in Butler County Prison on $7,500 bail.2:57 a.m. Monday — Sean Joyce, 28, of Pittsburgh is accused of violating a Saxonburg woman's protection from abuse order in Jefferson Township. Police said Joyce faces a charge of indirect criminal contempt.Monday — Police charged Mary Ann Capuzzi, 42, in connection with a domestic dispute with another woman at her Miles Lane home in Center Township.Capuzzi is accused of assaulting Chelsey Rock and then driving away. Police later arrested the suspect following a traffic stop in Butler Township.A breath test, according to court documents, showed her blood-alcohol level was 0.173 percent, or more than twice the state's 0.08 percent legal limit.Capuzzi is charged with driving under the influence, simple assault, careless driving and reckless driving.Monday — Police filed two misdemeanor drug charges against Edward P. Williams 28, of New Kensington, Westmoreland County, stemming from a traffic stop at 10:24 p.m. Feb. 24 at North Monroe and East Jefferson streets in Butler. Williams is charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.7:31 p.m. Sunday — Doris L. Miller, 76, of Harmony was hurt when a car struck the sport utility vehicle she was driving at Mercer and East Brewster roads in Center Township. Miller, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with moderate injuries. Lauren E. Cipoletti, 21, of Butler was driving the car.

Monday — A black BMX bicycle was stolen from the back porch of a home on Barrels Valley Road in South Bend Township. The bike, valued at $99, was taken between 7:45 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.Monday — An unknown thief swiped the license plate off a woman's' car at her home on Ferne Drive in North Buffalo Township. The plate was stolen between 6 p.m. Friday and 12:15 a.m. Monday.Thursday — Someone used an East Brady woman's bank debit card information to buy $200 worth of merchandise from a Wal-Mart store in Richland, Calif.

Tuesday — Janette Guthrie, 35, of Mercer was arraigned on a charge that she stole a Grove City woman's jewelry in Pine Township. Guthrie, who is charged with felony theft, is free on $15,000 unsecured bail.
