Robert L. Whigham

Robert L. Whigham, 83, of Zelienople, formerly of Ross Township, died Sunday at UPMC Passavant Cranberry, Cranberry Township.

Born Dec. 3, 1926, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late George and Rose Stein Whigham.

Mr. Whigham was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, where he earned both his bachelor's degree and master's degree.

He was a World War II U.S. Army Air Corps veteran and retired from US Steel following more than 35 years as an auditor.

He is survived by his daughter, Sheila Mack and her husband, David M. Mack Sr., of Cranberry Township; three grandchildren, David, Connor and Mariah Mack; and a sister, Dorothy Bach of McKeesport.

His wife of 57 years, Audrey S. (Sommers) Whigham, preceded him in death on Aug. 6, 2008. A brother, Richard Whigham, also preceded him.

<B>WHIGHAM</B> — Friends of Robert L. Whigham, who died Sunday, May 9, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Boylan Funeral Home</B>, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Richard J. Leseganich of Hope Lutheran Church officiating.
