Hyman T. Abes
Hyman T. Abes, 94, of Encinitas, Calif., formerly of Butler, died at 9:24 a.m. Monday at Seacrest Villages, Encinitas.
Born in Butler on Nov. 15, 1915, he was the son of Morris Abes and Eva Gelman Abes.
His wife, Reva Maglin Abes, died Jan. 11, 1997.
Mr. Abes owned and operated the Cutaway Meat Market in Butler.
He was a member of Congregation B'nai Abraham and was a member of B'nai Brith.
Surviving are a daughter, Holly Abes of Steamboat Springs, Colo.; a son, Mark Abes of Carlsbad, Calif.; and three grandchildren, Jillian Abes, Meryl Meranski and Joel Meranski.
Two sisters and two brothers preceded him in death.

North St. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Cantor Gary Gelendar of Congregation B'nai Abraham officiating.
