Sum

Holly C. Sum, 53, of Connoquenessing Township, Renfrew, died Thursday afternoon at the VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler Township.

Born in Pittsburgh on Dec. 25, 1956, she was the daughter of Bettie Bittner Glass of Gibsonia, and the late Earl Glass.

A homemaker, Mrs. Sum was in the Class of 1974 at Richland High School.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Daniel A. Sum Jr., who she married Oct. 25, 1984. She is the mother of Kenneth Buchholz Jr. of Butler, Daniel Sum III of Renfrew, Amber Frushour and her husband, Kevin, of Bellevue, and Jessica Young and her husband, Randall, of Darlington. She is grandmother of Angie, Lilly, Benjamin, Cole and Garrett; and sister of Cindi Welsh and her husband, George, of Valencia, Debra Crowley of Middlesex Township, and Michael glass and his wife, Ann, of Zelienople.

She also is survived by nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Buchholz; a brother, Gary Glass; and two nieces, Gemma Glass and Erin Crowley.
