Janet Hamilton Unger
Janet A. (Hamilton) Unger, 77, of Hilliards, formerly of Mount Washington, passed away Feb. 2 after a long battle with cancer.
Born Aug. 30, 1932, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of William Paul Hamilton and Lillian (Rockenbaugh) Hamilton Radley.
She formerly worked as an operator for the Bell Telephone Co. and also worked in food service at Prospect Elementary School.
She enjoyed needlepoint, gardening and puzzles.
She was married to Donald W. Unger, on Sept. 1, 1956, in Winchester, W.Va. He passed away three months after her on April 30, 2010.
Janet is survived by three children, Donald W. of Philadelphia, Philip K. (Valerie (Joswiak)) Unger of West Sunbury and Ann L. Unger of Hilliards; two grandchildren, Angela Kroha of West Sunbury and Michael Unger of Erie; one great-grandchild, Alicia Lostetter of West Sunbury; a brother; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
