Mentch

Dorothy E. Mentch, 94, of Saxonburg died Thursday at Saxony Health Center.

Born April 4, 1916, in Harrisville, she was the daughter of Robert Sweepe and Irene Barrett Sweepe.

She had worked as a bookkeeper. She was a member of Butler Church of the Nazarene, and she attended Jefferson Center Presbyterian Church.

She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, baking, singing in the church choir and loved flowers.

Surviving are her son, Warren F. Mentch, Jr. of Saxonburg; her daughter, Darla Foertsch of Zephyr Hills, Fla.; two brothers, Richard Sweepe of Arizona and William Shakalski of Pittsburgh; her sister, Evelyn Kimmel of Ohio; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her husband W. Fred Mentch, on June 19, 2003; her parents; four brothers, Paul, William, Robert and Walter Sweepe; two sisters, Virginia Kelley and Betty Light; and one son, Tim Mentch.

<B>MENTCH </B>— Friends of Dorothy E. Mentch, who died Thursday, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the <B>Fox Funeral Home</B>, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Toby Brown officiating.
