Edward Albert

Edward C. Albert, 65, beloved husband, father, and pappy died peacefully at his home on Windy Drive, Center Township, on Tuesday.

Born Oct. 12, 1944, in Butler, he was the son of Carl Albert and the late Clara Berry Albert.

Mr. Albert's family remembers his love and dedication to his beloved wife of 43 years, Karen, his children and his grandchildren.

He was a double lung transplant recipient due to idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis since July 2001.

He worked in the Hot Mill Department at AK Steel, retiring in 1998 after 30 years.

He loved to play bocce, and he and Karen enjoyed traveling and spending the winters in Florida with family and friends.

Mr. Albert leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Karen L. Albert, who he married on April 15, 1967; two sons, Scott and his wife, Miriam Albert of Chestnut Hill, Mass., and Shawn Albert of Daytona Beach, Fla.; his brother, Ronald and his wife, Linda Albert of Plantation, Fla.; a daughter-in-law, Meri Albert of Ormond Beach, Fla.; three grandchildren, Abbie Albert, Emma Albert, and Mateo Albert; his father, Carl Albert of Plantation, Fla.; three sisters-in-law and husbands, two brothers-in-law and wives; several nieces and nephews, and many friends.

<B>ALBERT</B>— Friends of Edward C. Albert, who died Tuesday April 6, will be received at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St., Butler, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.A blessing service will be held at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Saturday with Father Steve Neff of St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church officiating.
