Ronald B. Carlson, 61, of Portersville died Sunday morning at his home.

Born April 7, 1948, in Fairfield, Conn., he was the son of the late Edmund and Eleanor Houston Carlson.

He was a self-employed construction worker.

Surviving are his wife, Kathleen "Kate" Ford Carlson, who he married June 1, 1974; a sister, Nancy Bailey and her husband, Robert, of New Britain, Conn.; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Carlson.
