Dorothy M. Weckerly, 96, formerly of Sarver, died Friday morning at the Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Jefferson Hills.

Born Sept. 17, 1913, in Blairs Corners, Clarion County, she was the daughter of the late Emery and Anna Best Garris.

She was the mother of Marlys Penwell (Robert) of West Homestead; and grandmother of Marcia Matta (Barry McKee) and Sandra Staudt (Jeffrey). Also surviving are five great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice E. "Morris" Weckerly; by a son, Edward; and by three brothers.
