2:03 p.m. Thursday — Heather Ann Kuhrt, 24, of Butler was picked up on a warrant after an officer spotted her walking on Chestnut Street. Police said she was searched and found with a baggie of suspected marijuana.Additionally, her purse contained four syringes, a crack pipe, spoon and empty stamp bags of suspected heroin, a police report said.Kuhrt, who was placed in Butler County Prison for the warrant, also faces charges for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.9:47 a.m. Thursday — Michelle Lee Ball, 25, of West Sunbury was arrested on a warrant after she was caught allegedly shoplifting at the Kmart in Pullman Square. Store security stopped Ball after she allegedly tried to take earrings, clothes and baby bottles.Police said Ball was placed in Butler County Prison for the warrant. She also faces a charge for retail theft.9:37 a.m. Wednesday — Nicholas Oesterling, 24, of Jefferson Township faces charges in a suspected hit-and-run crash at East Wayne and South McKean streets.Police said Oesterling's car struck the rear of a pickup truck, driven by Sheri McCormick, 34, of Butler Township, which was stopped at the intersection. Oesterling drove off but was later found at his home. Police said he was cited for causing an accident to an attended vehicle and driving with a suspended license.9:33 a.m. Tuesday — Police were called to the methadone clinic on Hollywood Drive for a report of a man with a gun involved in a fight. The man had driven away and was gone by the time police got there.But a short time later, officers found the suspect, Scott Rimer, 42, of Lyndora, at his home. The gun reportedly seen at the clinic, according to a police report, was actually a toy.Rimer is charged with terroristic threats, simple assault, reckless endangerment and driving with a suspended license. He was arraigned on charges and placed in Butler County Prison on $5,000 bail.8:36 a.m. Tuesday — Cassie Marie Lunn, 21, is accused of lying to police when she reported that her ex-boyfriend had broken into her Greenville Drive apartment and held her at bay overnight.Police were called after Lunn claimed she had escaped from her apartment. She also informed officers that she had a protection from abuse order against former boyfriend Matthew Dipner, 24, of New Castle.Officers went to Lunn's home and found Dipner sleeping in a bed. He told police he had been staying at the apartment for several days. He also had bag of clothes in the living room.Lunn, according to a police report, later admitted Dipner had not broken into her apartment. Police said she faces a charge of making a false report to police.Dipner, meanwhile, was taken to Butler County Prison for violating the PFA.

1 p.m. Wednesday — A car driven by Richard Menchyk, 23, of Butler struck a tree along West Jefferson Road in Jefferson Township. Menchyk told police that crash occurred when a deer ran onto the road.Wednesday — An unspecified amount of copper wire was taken Tuesday or Wednesday from an AT&T-owned cell phone tower on MillerRoad in Slippery Rock Township.Monday — Unknown scrap thieves stole two broken washing machines and two fans from a barn on Creek Bottom Road in Marion Township. John Martin Jr. of Boyers owns the items.

Tuesday — About $27 in store receipts and $10 in donation proceeds were stolen in a burglary at A Pinch of Spice on Kelly's Way in East Brady. The burglary occurred between 9:30 p.m. Sunday and 10 a.m. Tuesday.12:45 p.m. Monday — A 14-year-old Chicora boy was cited for retail thief after he was caught stuffing two apple pies in the rear of his pants at Tom's Riverside in Rimersburg. Police did not identify the boy.

4:15 p.m. Wednesday — A car driven by Rochelle Ridinger, 24, of Butler struck a guardrail on Route 422 in West Franklin Township. Police said Ridinger was cited for careless driving.5:45 p.m. Monday — Two people were hurt in a three-car crash on Route 19 in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County. Police said the crash occurred when Andrew Hutsler, 55, of Volant lost control of his car and sideswiped a car driven by Henry Walls, 75, of Pittsburgh.The collision sent both cars into a guardrail. Walls' car then crossed over both lanes and collided with a car driven by Patricia Santomo, 66, of Zelienople.Walls and an 11-year-old boy riding in Santomo's car were treated at Grove City Medical Center for minor to moderate injuries. Police said Hutsler was cited for a lane violation.
