Jean S. Calderone, 91, of Slippery Rock died at 8:10 p.m. Thursday at the Grove City Medical Center.

She was born Oct. 15, 1916, in Millcroft, Pa., the daughter of James Ross and Mary Shawley Ross.

She had been a member of St. Peter's Christian Mothers and the Slippery Rock AARP. She was an LPN at numerous hospitals and also worked at the Upjohn Co. as a private duty nurse. She enjoyed traveling, cooking and reading.

She is survived by three daughters, Shirley Wiglesworth and her husband, Gary, of Plantation, Fla., Beverly Colyeras of Las Vegas and Judy Calderone of Las Vegas; two sons, Joseph Calderone of Los Angeles and Nicholas Calderone and his wife, Ann, of Slippery Rock; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph J. Calderone, who died July 3, 1998; three brothers, and four sisters.
