Dolores Janet Conroy
Dolores Janet Conroy, 81, of Slippery Rock died at 5:50 a.m. Friday at the Grove City Medical Center following an extended illness.
Born July 26, 1926, in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of Frederic James Coll and Margaret Isabel Crawshaw.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Slippery Rock.
She is survived by her four sons, Joseph L. Conroy of Slippery Rock, Daniel M. Conroy of Butler, Michael P. Conroy and his wife, Kim, of Slippery Rock, and John K. Conroy and his wife, Rose, of Slippery Rock; one brother, Fred W. Coll and his wife, Patricia, of Pittsburgh; and three sisters, Rose Remy of Gibsonia, Irene Petrakos and her husband, Peter, of Ingomar, and Virginia Coll of Slippery Rock.
Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Heather, Shelley, Joey, Danny, Megan, Michael and Ben; and two great-grandchildren, Celia and Kyleigh. She was loved by several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Leo Conroy, whom she married in 1947. He died in November 1962.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded by an infant daughter, Kathleen; one brother, John L. Coll; and two sisters, Catherine Coll and Anne Eck.
<B>CONROY</B> — Friends of Dolores Janet Conroy, who died Friday, May 23, 2008, will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at <B>Smith Funeral Home</B>, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock.Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church. Interment will be in Prairie Cemetery, Harrisville.
