Grace Louise Martz, 95, of Pittsburgh, formerly of Butler, died at 4:20 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Clair Hospital.

She was born April 29, 1913, in Chicago, the daughter of Max and Louise Luthner.

She lived in Butler most of her life and was a longtime member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. John (Patricia L.) Gross of Wexford and Carol Martz of Pittsburgh; a grandchild, Scott Graham of Boston; a sister, Sophie Krauchak of Butler; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony J. Martz, who died Jan. 6, 1977; a son, Ronald Martz; and a brother.

Martz, who died Tuesday, May 20, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and Thursday at the <B>Slater Funeral Home</B>, 1650 Greentree Road, Pittsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Simon and Jude Catholic Church in Pittsburgh.
