Ella Margaret Dudash
Ella Margaret Matteson Dudash, 85, of Overlook Medical Clinic in New Wilmington, formerly of Portersville, died at 5:35 a.m. Saturday at the Jameson Hospital North.
Born Oct. 25, 1922, in Bristolville, Ohio, she was a daughter of William Kyle and Anne Mae McCartney Matteson.
She had baked pies for Eppinger's Restaurant for 21 years. She also had been a cook at the Village Inn in Harlansburg and had worked at National Tube in Ellwood City. During World War II, she worked at a dry cleaners while living in Amarillo, Texas.
Mrs. Dudash was a 1941 graduate of the Princeton High School. She enjoyed traveling and crocheting and was a member of the Keenagers of Portersville, a travel club for seniors. She also belonged to the AARP and attended the Zion Baptist Church, Portersville.
Surviving are her children, Mona Shannon of Kenosha, Wis., Alan (Sara) Dudash of Ellwood City and William (Kathy) Dudash of Portersville; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Her husband, Joseph Dudash, who she married Sept. 6, 1942, died July 31, 1972. She also was preceded in death by a brother, Robert F. Matteson; and a sister, Erma W. Davis.
<B>WALLACE </B>— There will be no public visitation. Private funeral services for Helen L. Wallace who died Saturday, March 29, 2008, will be held at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>. Burial will be at the North Side Cemetery.Information also is available at www.geibelfuneralhome.com.
