John M. Gazdacko, 85, of Evans City died Monday evening at the Valencia Woods Nursing Center.

Born in Pittsburgh, May 21, 1921, he was the son of John and Katherine Kisel Gazdacko.

He was a retired chemical processing supervisor at the Mine Safety Appliance Co. in Callery.

Mr. Gazdacko was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church of Evans City. He also was a member of the Penn Brotherhood Lodge 635 F&AM and the Syria Shrine and Consistory of Cheswick.

Surviving are his wife, Grace Whalen Gazdacko, whom he married Jan. 26, 1946; two sons, John Jay Gazdacko (Irene) of Beaver and Robert Lee Gazdacko (Claudia) of Zelienople; and three grandchildren, Michael, Jeffrey and Ian Gazdacko.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Dupal and Florence Bello.
