Arlene O. Beegle Surrena, 84, of 703 Ridgeway Ave., Grove City, died at 5:45 p.m. Monday at Orchard Manor, Grove City, after a long illness.

Born in Bedford, Bedford County, June 8, 1922, she was the daughter of Harvey and Violet Bennett Beegle.

She was a 1940 graduate of Bedford High School and retired from Mellon Bank of Grove City, where she was a teller for 18 years. After retirement, she worked at McDowell Bank in Grove City.

Mrs. Surrena was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Grove City. She was a former member of the Eastern Star Chapter 86, Grove City.

Surviving are her husband, Wayne E. Surrena, whom she married Sept. 7, 1940; a son, Edwin L. "Ed" Surrena of Mercer; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.

Surrena, who died Monday, March 12, 2007, will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the <B>Cunningham Funeral Home</B>, 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City.Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. James Seeley, her church pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Crestview Memorial Park, Grove City.
