Parker Jr.

Veotis Parker Jr., 72, of Butler, died Saturday at his residence.

Born Oct. 30, 1934, in Alabama, he was the son of the late Veotis Parker Sr. and the late Sara Ann Owens Parker.

He had worked at DC Village in Washington D.C., and recently at Giant Eagle in Butler. He was also a member of the Army and Air Force during the Korean War.

Surviving are his wife, Madeline E. Parker of Suitland, Md.; a daughter, Mrs. Gavin (August) Pitt of District Heights, Md.; a son, Gregory Parker of Maryland; nine grandchildren, and several aunts and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Charles Speaks.
