Catalano

Joseph A. Catalano, 79, of Boyers died at 6 a.m. Friday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born in Pittsburgh, July 24, 1927, he was the son of Philip and Augustine Cavaliero Catalano.

He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War and had worked in the maintenance/custodial department for Butler School District.

Mr. Catalano was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church.

He enjoyed coaching Little League Baseball and soccer.

Surviving are a daughter, Sara-Jean Yockey of Butler; a son, Will Catalano of Virginia Beach, Va.; three grandchildren, Katlyn Jo and Evin Lee Yockey and Cade Anthony Catalano; his fiancée, Helen Ostrander of Boyers; a sister, Mrs. Bobby (Jenny) Rivita of Pittsburgh; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A brother, John Catalano, preceded him in death.
