Tokos

George A. Tokos, 81, of Cranberry Township died Thursday morning at UPMC Passavant hospital in McCandless Township.

Born in Jackson Township, Dec. 30, 1925, he was the son of Dominick and Leopoldina Sunal Tokos.

He was a self-employed heating and air conditioning contractor and had owned T. & G. Heating and Cooling, and later George's Heating and Cooling, both in Cranberry Township

He was a graduate of Zelienople High School, and was a member and elder of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Zelienople.

Surviving are his wife, Naomi B. Schleiden Tokos, whom he married Dec. 26, 1987; a son, Todd J. Tokos and his wife, Debbie, of Zelienople; two daughters, Mrs. Les (Jeanne) Molnar of Center Valley and Jill Taylor; a son-in-law, Ronald E. Smith of Zelienople; and three stepdaughters, Mary Schleiden of Cranberry Township, Mrs. Marc (Esther) Cochran of Slippery Rock and Anne Schleiden of Chicora.

Also surviving are 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy E. Rowitsch Tokos, who died Oct. 8, 1986; a daughter, Pamela A. Smith; two stepsons, William and Joseph Schleiden; and his siblings, Joe, John, Dan, Ursula, Ethel and Ruth.

Tokos, who died Thursday, March 8, 2007, are invited to a memorial service at 3 p.m. March 18 at the Zelienople Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 250 Evans Road, Zelienople.
