Robert Lee Ramsey, 51, of Leeper died early Saturday morning in a car accident on Route 36 in Eldred Township, Jefferson County.

Born April 17, 1955, in Butler, he was the son of John W. and Annetta Kaylor Ramsey of Leeper.

He moved back to the Leeper area from Florida in the last year and was a machinist at Miller Welding in Brookville.

He enjoyed drag racing and riding his Harley.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a stepson, Brandon Bergman of St. Petersburg, Fla.; a sister and a brother, Janet O'Hara and John Ramsey, both of Leeper; and nieces and nephews, Lori, Paul, Brian and Robert Weaver and Deanna Ramsey; and numerous grandnieces and grandnephews.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Archie and Ethel Kaylor, and his paternal grandparents, Claude and Armella Ramsey.
