Myers

Joan R. Myers, 85, of Seneca Drive died at 3:45 a.m. Wednesday at the Alle-Kiski Medical Center.

Born March 5, 1921, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Jay Myers and Sara Campbell.

She was a 1942 graduate of the Chatham College, where she was a registrar after graduation. She earned her master's of religious education from the Pittsburgh Theological Seminary and was a former director of education for Hickory Presbyterian Church, Hickory, Pa.

Mrs. Myers was a member of Community Alliance Church.

Surviving are her second husband, Wayne L. Myers; three sons, John J. Rankin of Holden, Maine, James W. Rankin of Princeton, N.J., and Paul W. Rankin of Friedens, Pa.; four grandchildren; and a step-daughter, Mrs. Brian (LeeAnn) Sellecks of Phoenix, Ariz.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, the Rev. Harry W. Rankin, who died in 1969.

<B>MYERS</B> — Friends of Joan R. Myers, who died Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St.Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Community Alliance Church with the Rev.
